Hamish Bell Small

Hamish is an experienced independent director and chair with a wide range of governance experience across a range of industries.

Over the last 35 years he has worked in New Zealand and across Asia in banking, corporate finance, private equity, investor relations, public relations and stockbroking.  A former PwC Partner and executive at ANZ National Bank, Hamish currently serves on the boards of a range of companies including Eastland Group, Te Waka, Livingstone Building and Boffa Miskell.  He sits on the advisory board for Marsh NZ, and has previously served on the boards of Ritchies Transport,  GJ Gardner Franklin, Greenstone Group, Pedersen Group, East Care, Southern Hospitality, Sutherland Produce, Lean Meats, Martin Aircraft, Te Arawa Group Holdings and Millennium Corporation.

In addition to his primary role as a founding partner at Catalyst Advisory Partners (a specialist commercial advisory firm specialising in governance, strategy, succession and corporate finance); Hamish is a former Chair of the NZ Private Equity & Venture Capital Association, former Chair of the Asian Investor Relations Association, a former committee member of the ASEAN NZ Business Council and a former member of the Board of the Rotary Club of Auckland.
